What We Do
Gates of Joy and Hope Education Centre are located in Bombolulu at the heart of Mombasa, they are both primary schools dedicated to helping children between the age of 3 and 16 in need of basic education. With the dedication of the supporters, teachers, staff members, and partners, we strive to improve the lives of children who need help within the community. One of our goals is to ensure that the young children of Bombolulu in Mombasa get a basic education. Feeding the Children
With a poverty rate of 37.6% in Mombasa, it is inevitable that the children living in Bombolulu and its environs would go without food for days on end. Giving Direct has noticed that whenever there is a shortage in food at the school, the attendance levels reduce with the children being forced to beg in the streets for a meal.
